Paul Breslin is the
managing partner of Panther Hospitality, a hospitality
consulting practice that was founded in 2005. Breslin leads
a team of industry professionals who guide developers and
hoteliers in all aspects of their businesses from property
acquisition and infrastructure to the successful opening and
operating of a hotel.
A 20-year veteran of the
hospitality industry, Breslin is responsible for casting the
vision and setting the direction of the company. Panther’s
is involved in exciting projects such as; a $30 million
dollar development of the Hotel Indigo Atlanta and the $115
million dollar Hard Rock Hotel mixed use project, the Stay
Bridge Suites Atlanta. Current projects with Starwood,
Wyndham, Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt and IHG are in development
in the southeast region.
Prior to founding Panther,
Breslin’s hospitality career spanned nine cities ten hotels
and included positions at the world-famous Fontainebleau
Hilton Resort and Spa, the Sheraton San Diego Resort, the
Sheraton New Orleans, and three high-profile Atlanta
convention hotels. Most recently, he served as Managing
Director of the Sheraton Atlanta Hotel where he led the
transformation of an $80 million asset from an operating
loss of $4 million in 2000 to a gain of $9 million in 2006.
During his tenure as General Manager for the Omni Hotel in
Atlanta, Breslin developed the plan of the renowned $100
million expansion and ensured significant gains in market
share, revenue and profit. Built the team that transformed
the hotel into an AAA Four-Diamond 1,000- room world-class
convention hotel, the Omni earned national recognition for
excellence from JD Powers and produced superior results for
its owners under Breslin’s leadership.
A passionate industry
leader, Breslin is an adjunct professor of hotel management
at Georgia State University’s Cecil B. Day School of
Hospitality. Respected by his peers, he has served as
Chairman of the Atlanta Hotel Council (AHC), Georgia Hotel &
Lodging Association (GHLA), Georgia Hospitality and Travel
Association. Breslin currently serves on the Board of
Directors of the Atlanta American Hotel & Lodging
Association (AHLA), and has served on the Boards of many
organizations such as; Downtown Improvement District (DID),
Atlanta Sports Council (ASC), Atlanta Convention Visitors
Bureau (ACVB) and Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce Board of
Advisors (MACOC).
Breslin holds a degree in
Hotel and Restaurant Management from Paul Smith’s College in
Lake Placid, NY and a degree in Hospitality Management from
Florida International University. He earned the coveted
Certified Hotel Administrator (C.H.A.) designation from the
American Hotel & Lodging Association, its highest
certification. Breslin lives in Atlanta with his wife Cher
and their three children.
